London Fashion Diversity Show

17 Sep

Last nigh me and another ‘Miss Young’ (Naomi) attended the London Design Festival Fashion Diversity show which showcased A/W 2010 designs from budding emerging designers such as Sacha James, Nishanti Abeysekera and Christine Muhundo.

The sheer diversity and innovation was refreshing , and all  the designers managed to captivate and inspire the audience with their diverse range of designs.

Here’s my favorite picks and highlights of the night and designers to watch out for in the future!!!

Aama Couture

A Tribal inspired collection that consisted of bold primary colours, Afro Caribbean African inspired head raps and tropical print flared trousers, floaty fabrics and ruffled detail. This collection will add a bit of sunshine to your wardrobe.

Note: If full on print is too much for you, team a tropical drape a tropical printed scarf around your neck to add a splash of colour .

BLAQ by Sacha James

A sleek but edgy inspired collection consisted of a fusion of Harlequin Hareems are teamed with PVC , Metallic Threads and foil prints, mixed with Oriental Prints, and elegant draped Grecian maxi dresses

Note: Team Grecian dresses with sky-high heels for the ultimate ‘goddess’ look

,
